Nutrisystem Pulls Ads From Glenn Beck’s Show
Nutrisystem confirms that they will no longer advertise on Glenn Beck’s show.
From Color of Change’s press release (8/24/09), Nutrisystem’s statement (emphasis added):
“We are no longer advertising on Beck’s program,” said Susan McGowan, Senior Director of Public Relations at NutriSystem, Inc., in an email to ColorOfChange.org. “You can now include us with the other companies that have stopped advertising.”

Update: Beginning April 5, Nutrisystem reneged on their commitment and started advertising on Glenn Beck’s show again. Please email and/or tweet @Nutrisystem: Urge them to honor their commitment and disassociate the Nutrisystem brand from Glenn Beck’s vitriol, sexism and preying on racial anxieties.

Hi Nutrisystem,
My husband and i have been discussing giving your weight loss program a try since we both have 10 more lbs we’d like to lose since i had my last baby. I am 27 and liked your advertisements.
We then read you had begun advertising on Glenn Beck’s program. We do not support such antigovernment vitriol and have decided to go with the WeightWatchers program instead.
You will probably lose less potential customers like me if you consider pulling your advertisements from that guy’s show.

There are TV shows, i.e. GLEN BECK and FOX NEWS – and RADIO TALK shows, i.e. RUSH LIMBaugh that bring to the people of America the TRUTH, Fair & Balanced, of the reality taking place in our great nation – the TRUTH RE what the “inept congress” and the “empty suit” of a so called president refuse to share with us, the people. Glenn Beck has a great show. I have learned more about the American History from him than from any other source and I am 75 years old. He exposes the corrupt political forces in this country. I will also ask all myl friends to boycott any and all the advertisers on the list I got from you. I am going to publish them and give them to my church and we have 13 million members.

Thank you so much for changing your stand against Glenn Beck. Anyone who watches or listens to him know that he is tell the truth. He will tell you to check him out. When he finds out he is wrong, he begins his show with the correction. It is time for the hate to stop or we will end up with another Civil War. Since when has it become ok to have such hatred toward people that have successful businesses and employ so many? Glenn has spent countless hours educating his fellow americans about our great nation’s founding fathers and provide access to David Bartin, a renouned scholar and collector of original letters hand-written by the founding fathers as evidence that what Glenn teaches is the truth. Mr beck is a great American and has done this nation a great service. I thank God Mr Beck has been financially successful enough to keep his family safe from the likes of you.
