Best Western Becomes 101st Sponsor To Drop Glenn Beck
Best Western is the latest sponsor to drop Glenn Beck. Of note: they also dropped Glenn Beck in record time – less than 24 hours. Best Western ads first appeared yesterday (Feb. 4). After participants in the StopBeck effort reached out to them, Best Western sent along word this morning that they were pulling their ads.
This brings the total number of Glenn Beck’s dropped sponsors to 101.
Best Western’s statement (emphasis added):
Thank you for contacting us regarding our advertising programming. When purchasing our advertising, we typically purchase at a network level and not on specific television programs. We do not endorse a particular viewpoint and respect the different views of all of our valued customers. We have since made adjustments to our advertising buy and our ads will not run during this program.

I wish she’d given an email address; I’d like to write and thank them. I’m sure I can find a customer service email addy on their web site, though.

I support Glenn Beck. Most Americans take therir freedom for granted and those that don’t like him have not even listened to his show. Americans are loosing their freedom and won’t wake up until its too late. Glenn Beck is telling the truth. Argue with him on the facts prove his facts wrong instead of just attacking him.

How can liberals hate our country enough to limit free speech? Before you condemn Beck, research his statements, you will find out that his version of history is better than anyone on the left who hates this country. Has anyone noticed that Socialism is not working in other countries? Why would it work here.

Looks like bigotry and hate is alive and well with sites like stopbeck.com, huffingtonpost.com, moveon.org and other groups who use anti-America rhetoric. Its funny, the freedom of speech they use, is the same freedom of speech they want to eliminate for the rest of the country.

LMAO! It's amusing how any viewpoint that's not Conservative/Republican is somehow “anti-american” and that expressing it is “rhetoric”. I know you boneheads are all about “ownership” but, as much as you'd like to think you do, Conservatives/Republicans don't “own” what it is to be an American.
Obama won by majority vote. The Democrats were put into power by majority vote. Under that glaring yet simple light, if anything it's the Conservatives/Republicans that are the ones being “anti-american” since they don't share the opinion of the duly elected majority party as directed by the Constitution. Careful with your labels, friend – lest you become the beast you hate.

Ever heard of free markets?
Suddenly boycotting businesses under the legal rules of capatalism and peaceabily assembling with other like minded citiznes who wish to do the same is anti-american and limiting free speech. Nobody is holding a gun to his head and threatening his life lest he be silent.
Get over it.
