Holiday Inn Pulls Ads From Glenn Beck’s Show
Last week, Holiday Inn advertisements began running on Glenn Beck’s show. As with other advertisers, participants in the StopBeck effort sprang to action. We informed Holiday Inn that this is not about politics, but about Glenn Beck’s reckless vitriol, sexism and preying on racial anxieties. We kindly requested that they follow the responsible action of well over 100 other former advertisers and remove their ads from Glenn Beck’s show.
Well, your efforts paid off! Holiday Inn has joined the growing list of companies that refuse to advertise on Glenn Beck’s show.
A spokesperson for Holiday Inn emailed this statement to the StopBeck effort this morning (emphasis added):
As a follow up to your previous note, I wanted to let you know that the choice of programming for Holiday Inn commercials is a result of our national cable buy. This is an attempt to reach a larger and more diverse audience and is unrelated to the content of the news reporting. However, we have taken this matter under consideration due to the fact that some of the content on this show could be deemed objectionable, and have requested to avoid airing our advertising during this program in the future. Holiday Inn respects your opinions and appreciates you sharing them.
Great work all!
Many thanks to all those participating in this media accountability effort. Your tweets and emails do matter.
Onward we go…

I never ceased to be amazed at the lengths the left will go to in order to shut down opposition voices in this country. I don't agree with Beck on many issues but I don't think he should be forced off the air, either.
Your censorship tactics are disgusting and hypocritical.

It's called FREEDOM OF SPEACH!!!! But you only believe in that when it's what you want to hear. Glenn Beck is the only one who is teaching the truth about our history, and wha'ts going on today. He's not making it up….when he shows videos of the progressive nuts in this world. He's just reporting on what these people are saying…you won't see it in the mass media. Watch Beck and learn something people.

why do the beck supporters think he has it right OR wrong? Have they read history books lately? Does his anger make them feel good? It's unclear how they can be so very clear.
BTW: toliet you hipocrite? Nice. Glad you're a writer for Beck.

Our “Freedom of Speach” gets in the way with the left. This is the reason the left does research what he says. If the left actually trips on the truth, they will pick the words or clips to prove they are smart.

Actually I do read history books and I also know where my public library is. How about you!

The only good attacks you losers have regard spelling and grammar? I have a forum set up specifically for you smart ass's to put your money where your mouth is. As soon as you can catch Glenn in a lie, or prove that he's a racist, post it in the forum.

You do realize that public libraries are paid almost fully by the government through taxes?

Yeah, I mean the right would never try to violate someone's first amendment rights. Like if someone wanted to build a mosque, the right wouldn't try to stop it just because they disagree with its teachings….wait a minute.
