In April/May, Purity Products began running on Glenn Beck’s show. As with other advertisers, participants in the StopBeck effort sprang to action. We informed Purity Products that this is not about politics, but about accountability for Glenn Beck’s vitriol, sexism and preying on racial anxieties. We kindly requested that they follow the responsible action of well over 100 other former advertisers and remove their ads from Glenn Beck’s show.

Well, today we finally got word that Purity Products dropped Glenn Beck.

From their Vice President of Operations, here is Purity Products’ statement:

We have pulled all advertising from the Glenn Beck Program. This is advertising that was purchased through a Media Broker, and we instructed them several weeks ago to pull our sponsorship.

We appreciate your feedback in this matter, and I hope that you are satisfied with our actions.

Great work all!

Many thanks to those participating in this effort.  And, a special thanks to “pillarpaul” from Denver for passing along word of this information.  Pillarpaul is actually a new participant in the StopBeck effort after hearing about us on the Bill Press Show.

See your tweets and emails do matter!

Onward we go…

Of note: tomorrow also marks the 4 month anniversary of Glenn Beck’s broadcast in the UK running without any commercials.
