Last week, one of Toyota’s ads ran during the broadcast of Glenn Beck’s show in the UK. We thought this was a bit odd given that Toyota ceased advertising on Mr. Beck’s show many months ago. So, we reached out to Toyota to see if the ad signified a change in their position.

Well, your voices were heard. This morning, Toyota’s UK twitter account tweeted the following:

The link brings you to this statement posted on Toyota’s blog:

It came to our attention yesterday that one of Toyota GB’s advertisements appeared during Glenn Beck’s show earlier this month. This came after we withdrew our advertisements from the show earlier this year.

We’d like to reiterate that our position remains unchanged. We apologise sincerely, and we assure you that this will not happen again.

Great work all! See, your tweets and emails do matter.

My best guess as to what happened? Fox News messed up again and ran an ad they shouldn’t have run – an increasingly common problem.

Many thanks for your continued participation in this accountability effort.

Onward we go…
