Kaplan Tutoring Pulls Ads From Glenn Beck’s Show
Recently, Kaplan Tutoring advertisements began running on Glenn Beck’s program. Kaplan Tutoring is part of the Washington Post Co. family.
As with other advertisers, participants in the StopBeck effort sprang to action.
We kindly requested that they follow the responsible action of well over 100 other former advertisers and refrain from advertising on Glenn Beck’s show.
Well, your efforts paid off. This morning, Kaplan Tutoring advised that they have removed their ads from Glenn Beck’s program.
In a message posted on their Facebook page, Kaplan Tutoring announced (emphasis added):
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. When we purchase television media, we buy rotations on stations or groups of stations, rather than during specific programs. Our advertisements are no longer scheduled to appear during this program.

This is good news. I actually use Kaplan study materials…..and have paid a fortune for their services. I would stop cold from using Kaplan …..And spread the word to every collegue I know that uses Kaplan had they not pulled their advertising from Beck.

Any news on the “I Have A Scheme” Rally Permit? I was looking on the NPS website for D.C. and there is lots to question on the application. Take a look and see what you think. I can't imagine that Beck has enough smarts to fill out this application let alone fully understand it!

Thank you Kaplan Tutoring for removing your advertisement from the Beck program…I am a strong proponent of free speech and know we are going to have dissent in this country over may issues…however, Mr. Beck is revising American history, the Bible to slant it his way, and spewing hate…I personaly to do not want this kind of televised program in my home, and have raised my children and their children with the concepts of love, patriotism, and a rememberance of where they came from ,and what million of Americans died for so that they could enjoy their freedom…Please accept my gratitude for you splendid decision…………….

Part of me does have a problem with this stop beck effort pertaining to politics. However since I was once a glenn beck drone and have seen the light I think people need to think twice about listening to beck. He uses his listeners for financial gain. I can't even listen to rush anymore because beck is on every commercial advertising for local businesses. I took becks advice some time ago and bought gold through gold line. I found out I was scammed for half my money. Luckily it wasn't much since I'm poor but I know a lot of people have lost millions to that scam. Than theres his magazine I signed up for I paid fifty buck for four magazines and each issue was six pages of comedy skits. Beck is a joke and his show is unwatchable. He says the same crap eveyday and he's stuck in the past. I think if people see the kind of pathetic commercials he has maybe they will think twice about spending money on something he wants them to buy. So overall yes I support this effort and I hope beck has no commercials someday.

Okay, let's get serious for a minute. You can't blame Beck or Limbaugh or God or the moon goddess that you were gullible enough to send your gold valuables in the mail to some unknown company who “guaranteed” you'd get lots of money back. That's just poor judgement on your part.

I feel your pain as at 1st ..and 2nd glance the bigger issue may seam to be “unincumbered free speech” and any attack on it unconstitutional. Yet extremist’s on the “right” use similar and much more covert practices. At some point is it ever right to fight dirty and if so being honest about it?
