Yesterday, I put up a post about the situation with ads on the broadcast of Glenn Beck’s show in the UK.

In short: Beginning February 9, Glenn Beck’s UK show began running without any sponsors.  It remained without any sponsors until June 15.  But, between June 15 and July 5, a handful of ads began running during Glenn Beck’s program.  But, effective July 5, all ads were once again off of the UK broadcast of Glenn Beck’s show.

During the period of returned commercials, KFC ads ran on four different days.  We thought this was a bit odd given that Pizza Hut, which is owned by the same company as KFC, recently confirmed that they do not advertise on Glenn Beck’s show.  Accordingly, participants in the StopBeck effort reached out to KFC.

We kindly requested that they follow the responsible action of well over 100 other former advertisers and refrain from advertising on Glenn Beck’s show.  Well, your efforts paid off!

This morning, in a statement sent to the StopBeck effort, KFC confirmed that their ads will not appear on Glenn Beck’s show going forward:

If KFC spots aired on the show in the U.K., it was in error and KFC U.K. confirmed they won’t run in the future.

See! Your tweets do matter. Great work all!

Many thanks for your continued participation in this accountability effort.

Onward we go…
