StopBeck.com is a nonpartisan effort focused on holding Glenn Beck accountable for preying on racial anxieties, employing vitriolic rhetoric, propagating sexism and disseminating willful distortions. Our purpose is to urge sponsors to stop supporting Glenn Beck’s brand of hate with advertising dollars.
To be clear: This effort is not about Glenn Beck’s political opinions. Rather, this effort is in direct response to Mr. Beck’s continued recklessness. Neither Fox News nor Glenn Beck will take responsibility for the willful lies, propagation of sexism or preying in racial anxieties. Accordingly, we are compelled to bring accountability back to broadcasting. We would prefer that Mr. Beck, regardless of his opinions, act responsibly.
StopBeck began on July 2, 2009. It was and remains primarily a Twitter effort.

Apparently the founders of this site as well as the Twitter account have a very limited exposure of Mr. Beck and what he represents. Racism, you say? Yes, there have been times when Mr. Beck has made mistakes, hasn't everyone? (ever hear of Joe Biden or our very own president talking about surgeons removing limbs instead of giving folks a pill OR 'the police acted stupidly')
As far as your pressure on advertisers, it is a shame that they are caving under pressure from people who are clueless!! Unfortunately for folks who actually DO care about these United States, we are too busy working, raising our families, taking care of elderly/disabled parents/siblings/children to have enough time to start a web site let along write letters to sponsors of programs!!!
As far as Mr. Beck acting responsibly, have you ever done a 'fact check' on what he states on his shows? He will tell you, 'Don't take my word, do your homework'.
So, I will tell you, Do your homework, then report what misinformation you have found. Then, we will listen.

“assume” …. wow. some of these comments (this one included) send chills down my spine. Everyone is foaming and spittling that Beck tells the truth… ok, so beyond your “fair assumption” where's the truth?
Once you've calmed down and wiped the foam from your rapid mouth, why don't you do a little fact-checking OUTSIDE of the 24-hr propaganda network you swear by.

How can so many people be sooooo hateful and blind? What's the point of learning history again? “So it doesn't repeat itself” ?
These people defending Glenn Beck as speaking the “truth” !?! In 50 years humanity – for better or worse – is going to look back and wonder how people could be so deluding. I pray the day never comes – as it did for Germans after WWII – where all of you who bought in to the rhetoric are left standing there looking bewildered saying “well we didn't know that they were doing THAT to minorities!!”
I'm not political one way or the other, but I can't see how – as a REASONABLE human-being – that ANYONE can sit there and say Glenn Beck is either FAIR or BALANCED, let alone defend this man as speaking the “truth”! This man speaks the truth as Hitler spoke the truth, just enough truth to get the German population VERY angry and to equate Jews with Communists and Communists with a take-over of German society and prosperiety.
The angrier you all get, the stupider you all get and the easier it is for Rupert Murdoch to push his rhetoric and propaganda on you… all in the name of power and money.

Trying to talk facts and common sense and most importantly HISTORY with the progressive left is a losing battle. The will simply ignore you when facts and history is presented to them. It's insanity. I praise Beck for having shows about the Founders and what really made America GREAT at one time. WE are long since that time. To get an understanding of how dangerous Beck is, just go to this blog post and read the comments (http://wp.me/pNmlT-mI). Apparently the post has angered a whole lot of Beck fans and they are posting the most ridiculous things. And worse, apparently from listening to Beck for so long, they seem to be conditioned t ignore facts even when presented to them directly. Some of the opposing comments provide factual examples of Beck's inflammatory and racist comments, complete with date, yet they say that no one is able to provide proof of the things Beck has said. They are so blinded with hate and Beck's lies, they can't see anything else.
