StopBeck.com is a nonpartisan effort focused on holding Glenn Beck accountable for preying on racial anxieties, employing vitriolic rhetoric, propagating sexism and disseminating willful distortions. Our purpose is to urge sponsors to stop supporting Glenn Beck’s brand of hate with advertising dollars.

To be clear: This effort is not about Glenn Beck’s political opinions.  Rather, this effort is in direct response to Mr. Beck’s continued recklessness.  Neither Fox News nor Glenn Beck will take responsibility for the willful lies, propagation of sexism or preying in racial anxieties.   Accordingly, we are compelled to bring accountability back to broadcasting.  We would prefer that Mr. Beck, regardless of his opinions, act responsibly.

StopBeck began on July 2, 2009. It was and remains primarily a Twitter effort.

    Boycotts can work both ways. Rather than just not buy from the bad guys, ow about a thank you to those sponsors who have dropped Beck. Ask readers to choose their products instead of competitors.

    These supposed pulled sponsor letters sound like something you wrote yourself, Angelo. No one would pull the ads within 24 hrs just because you said to them you don’t like GBeck.

    I personally emailed the “24 ” hr response sponsor, and yes it was 24 hrs later I rec’d the email. I may have been the 11enty billionith to do so, but I did have a response in 24 hrs. Further more I have received 3 of the latest emails from dropped sponsors and yes they are direct quotes, not written by someone else, who would do that? They are all confirmed.

    I just recently discovered that I was not the only person on the planet who could not believe the sh*t that comes out of Glenn Becks mouth. People that blindly follow him and actually believe that he cares for them are delusional. He’s a rich, he’s white and he has his own tv show.     After you’ve finished with Beck (or in tandem with it), please begin focusing your attention on Fox News, in general. There’s plenty more hate speech where Beck is coming from. After all, who’s allowing him to remain on the station, even as a loss leader? That should tell you everything you need to know.

    I’m all for the cause of this site, even kicked in money to support it….but how come there is not a single actionable item on this website? Not info on writing campaigns to advertisers, petitions etc? What’s the point of the site if not to create action??

      Thank you very much for your donation. I really appreciate it.

      Have you checked out the Remaining Sponsors page? There you can find a list of remaining sponsors along with their contact information. I constantly update the page to reflect targetable sponsors. Is this what you’re looking for? Or are do you have something else in mind?

      As an aside: I am in the process of developing communication tools to streamline the contact remaining sponsors process, but they’re not quite ready to go live yet.

      Your point is well taken though. I think I’ll work on reorganizing things a bit and include a take action box in the sidebar that will help direct people to the contact remaining sponsors page.

    Way to go! Glenn Beck is a complete tool, he is a liar, an unethical, immoral person who is full of hate. The worst part is, he’s a good entertainer and a lot of people are buying his BS.     As I have read the comments here, I am astounded that anybody would defend Glennie boy for his total garbage mouth! The only think I can think of is these people must live on a different planet then the rest of us. Or else they don’t care about showing there assine stupidity.     So, since none of you watch Glen Beck, why are you trying to get him taken off the air? Is it some liberal sense of knowing what is better for people so you are doing them a favor by removing speech that they should not hear? Why are you not doing this for Olbermann, Shuster and Sanchez? Oh, you don't care when Olbermann calls a woman a “bag of meat”, because that woman is a conservative? Or when he slanders all republicans as Nazis? Or what he does a Hilter Salute with a conservative's face covering his own? Or when he calls all of the people who are protesting Obama racist? That is all fine broadcasting because its slandering conservatives right?

    I hope you succeed and bring down Glen Beck. The first thing that will happen will be that conservatives will get organized and bring down the liberal talkers whom they find offensive. This will be much easier because advertisers will not have to think much about the massive audience they are giving up on Fox News, and will look at the paltry ratings the shows get in the first place and will decide its not worth it.

    So you will succeed in making television a little more bland for everyone. Reducing choices and limiting speech, its the liberal way.

    I have reviewed you site and examined your examples of Beck's demeaning attitude toward women and people that he disagrees with politically. I have actually tried to understand where you are coming from and what you are trying to say. I have failed. Anybody who isn't a complete idiot knows that all the groups that Beck slanders, such as: non-christians, homosexuals, liberals (not the radical ones they can be just as bad as conservatives), and anyone else that may have a slightly different opionon than him are not going to destroy the world.     It's nice to see that someone is doing something to help stop this poisonous man. I don't believe anyone should be censored or their rights infringed, but what this guy says is downright dangerous. He spews out nothing but uneducated hatred, saying everything is socialist or Marxist. The man has NO college degree from ANYWHERE. He has no evidence of formal training in these subjects. He lacks any kind of credibility whatsoever, yet he has power to divide a nation, and keep us from moving forward. Anyone that thinks a former (or current) drug user that was some lame morning jock in Louisville that has no formal higher education is the man that has the plan to fix our broken country is a person I would be scared of.
