About

StopBeck.com is a nonpartisan effort focused on holding Glenn Beck accountable for preying on racial anxieties, employing vitriolic rhetoric, propagating sexism and disseminating willful distortions. Our purpose is to urge sponsors to stop supporting Glenn Beck’s brand of hate with advertising dollars.

To be clear: This effort is not about Glenn Beck’s political opinions.  Rather, this effort is in direct response to Mr. Beck’s continued recklessness.  Neither Fox News nor Glenn Beck will take responsibility for the willful lies, propagation of sexism or preying in racial anxieties.   Accordingly, we are compelled to bring accountability back to broadcasting.  We would prefer that Mr. Beck, regardless of his opinions, act responsibly.

StopBeck began on July 2, 2009. It was and remains primarily a Twitter effort.

I was just about the post the same news, but you beat me to it, WTF! Another detail about his mom's “suicide”…..the official report at the time was that it was a boating accident, as his mom and another person on board a boat drowned at the same time. When the young idiot, I mean GB, had trouble finding a place to live, suddenly he “found” a suicide note from his mom, months later! So, either his mom purposefully hid the note, (and the point of writing a note and hiding it would be…), or, this was the start of GB discovering what so many other drama queens in life learn at a young age, that pity can get you in the door, and if you are piteous enough, no one will want to “kick the puppy” and throw you out. Well, the puppy is now a grown dog, and it's pooping on the floor and growling at the kids. Do him a favor, put him to sleep!

Its ignoramus' like those that support this site who are so delusional that they Beck lies and Obama tells the truth that are setting up the downfall of this once great country. Your ignorance is only out shined by your arrogance.

Have you ever stopped to wonder why Beck has more viewers/listeners than all the lib fools combined? Its because he is right and you are wrong. Truth eventually wins.

I'm kind of confused, what EXACTLY is it that you want to stop Glenn Beck from doing? He appears (to me) to be the least racist person on the planet. He frequently has guests on his show from races other than his own, and continues to actively seek to bring light to the plight of minorities despite the fact that Democrats seem to think they have them under their control.

If you are a Democrat, and simply do not agree with Glenn Beck's policies, then make that your point. Lying to us and telling us it's not about his political stance, but instead some other fallical ideaology that you can't even put your finger on, just proves you're no better than what you accuse Glenn Beck of.

Reality should be taken for what it is, not for what you think it is…

Isn't everyone on this site taking Beck's quotes out of context??? You call Beck a racist by quoting him out of context, and then claim and complain that Obama's words were taken out of context. I guess it's okay to do that if the person who's words you're using against them are conservative. Get out of your mommy's basement and work for a living. I used to be a bleeding heart liberal. Then I graduated college and started earning my own living.

I do not own this site and I admit that some thing's he has said have been taken somewhat out of context by this sight, and I disapprove of that. However, that does not change the fact that Glenn Beck intentionally take things out of context to demonize the democrats.

After reading about a hundred and fifty of the previous comments (and noting how many were 'Liked' by 20 or more persons vs. being 'Liked' by 1 or 2 persons)… I have come to the following conclusion: YOU PEOPLE ARE NUTS!!! Like Jack Nicholson said; “You can't HANDLE the TRUTH!” Don't you guys GET IT by now?? The American people have HAD IT – and 'we're not gonna take it any more'.. We want TRUTH and TRANSPARENCY and RESPONSIBILITY in our government, and Glen is doing his best to help us GET IT… Everyone is entitled to their opinion (as you are) – don't you find it just a TAD hypocritical that you want to SHUT UP Glen's opinions, in favor of your OWN??

When I'm standing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on the 28th – I'll remember you folks BRIEFLY – and say a prayer for you…

I read several articles and comments on this site and… I'm still going to watch Beck's show every night. You might be having a minuscule effect on his ability to get advertisers but he has brought down Obama's communist “green jobs czar” Van Jones, exposed the lies of Government Motors, which prompted yet another CEO to get a real job again, and is about to gather 100,000+ people in D.C. for a rally about HONOR… something I doubt very much that the creators of this website care about in the least. Glenn Beck is an great American.

How so, Arthur, is Glen a 'danger to America (freudian slip that YOU didn't capitalize it?) and our way of life'? Is it because he seeks truth and transparency, which would DESTROY most of what you believe in? Or is it because he has the tenacity of a pit bull, and will not be 'bullied' by his enemies? Which is it, Arthur??

  • #23 written by LisbonOhioMom

hmmmm… If someone IS a 'hateful little bitch' – it's somehow WRONG to say it OUT LOUD? This is part of how TRUTH is so feared on the left – for it shines light on all of the nasty little corners….

Again.. all of the 'lies' are noted by Media Matters (a George Soros-funded organization) – 'nuff said there…

As for all of the Health Care bullet points that you noted: YEP, that's what's gonna happen!!!

By the way – Mark Williams is now 'persona non-grata' with the Tea Party movement, because his letter was exactly NOT what the Tea Party stands for – so he's OUT!!!

The majority of republicans are conservative, the majority of democrats are moderate. So while most democrats consider politics a small part of their lives and don't watch political commentators, the more radical republicans feel the need to watch political shows every night to feel good about their beliefs.

I disagree with O'reilly and Hannity, but think they have every right to be on TV. When it comes to hatred and lies, Glenn Beck has crossed lines which, to my knowledge, Hannity and O' Reilly haven't.
Ps. The right has worked very hard to ban medicinal marijuana, abortion, and most recently the building of mosques because they “believe that they know better”

the so-called “cancer” of progressivism brought America,
    the 19th amendment (woman's suffrage)
    child labor laws
    National parks
safety regulations, (to make sure what happened at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory never happened again)
So I guess you either never bothered to learn who the progressives actually were, or you oppose all of those things.

Do you honestly believe that that person went on line and pretended to be conservative as a scheme to make stopbeck appear more bipartisan? Why is it that when a conservative says something that makes Beck look bad, people assume its a nefarious scheme. This is just like the supposed “plants” at tea party protests. Rather than admit that there is a small portion of their protesters who are racist, they try to play off the pictures of racist signs at the tea party protests as a liberal scheme.
Glenn Beck has called people he dislikes socialist, fascist, communist, Nazi, racist, and “a high class prostitute”, just because they disagree with him. So, it seems that he is a childish name caller.

It was fun finally coming to this webpage b/c I get to see how completely baseless your criticism of Glenn is. I thought well maybe they might have a good argument or factual accusations, but all I see is stupid stuff like the”Ted Nugent” tweet when the real Ted doesn't have a verified Twitter account, and the “favorite” tweet (which is like a bookmark, not a favorite per se) from a white supremisist–he does research on these creeps. Anyway believe what you want. And btw, the advertisers ending their ads aren't necessarily dropping them because of controversy–maybe they can't budget it or are in between ad campaigns.
Bottom line, you have nothing on Glenn. He's a patriot.
