I mean, where did our grandparents go and they left us without…without a boot in the ass. Cause, there’s a few people that need some of those boots in their ass. And, you know what, quite honestly: she may be one of them.

This isn’t the first time Mr. Beck has demonstrated his contempt for women.  He has a history of calling women bitches or spewing other sexist nonsense.  When a company advertises with Glenn Beck, the above is an example of the kind of irresponsible vitriol that they are associating their brand with.

And, of note: Nutrisystem recently broke their commitment and returned as an advertiser to Mr. Beck.  I wonder how they feel about associating their brand with Mr. Beck after today’s tantrum.

Today, Glenn Beck offers up a fresh anti-feminist diatribe – mocking Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi’s looks and noting how “hot” Sarah Palin is.

Here are some excerpts from the above audio:

“Sarah Palin looks really hot in that hot…And, in a completely unrelated note, Hillary Clinton looks tired.”

“Oh, yea sure she [Hillary Clinton] looks professional, Sarah Palin looks hot in the hat. Seriously.”

“She could have been elected wearing the hat. Guys would have been like ‘Honey, what are you talking about, I didn’t even notice the hat on her. What. No. She’s just brilliant. She just said that she doesn’t know how cars work. Oh, that’s crazy. Did you see the hat on her…I’m reading policy positions and I don’t read them for the pictures…hey, honey, try the hat on. You wear the hat for a while.’”

“I wonder what Nancy Pelosi would look like in that hat.  Has she had…Has anybody noticed that Nancy Pelosi…Has she had serious plastic surgery?  Either that, or she is a Disney auto-animatronic.”

Treating women in this manner is sexist and disrespectful.  It minimizes professional accomplishments or lack thereof and instead advances the sexist notion that a woman’s looks are legitimate grounds for professional criticism.

But, what didn’t get any attention was Glenn Beck ruling out the ticket with a sexist rant. I know…a sexist rant against Sarah Palin. Shocking, right? You’d think it would have gotten some coverage. But, nope.  On Palin/Beck 2012, Beck had this to say:

“First of all, let me rule that out. Palin/Beck? Ridiculous…I was just thinking, what I’m gonna take backseat to a chick? While you’re at it, go shoot a bear! Make some stew! I’m hungry in here.”

Given the repeated cries of sexism from Sarah Palin, you’d think she would have called Glenn Beck out.  Perhaps she didn’t want to spoil her chances at being Glenn Beck’s VP pick in 2012?
