Glenn Beck Says He’ll “Burn Garbage In My Backyard With Styrofoam” To Celebrate Earth Day

Glenn Beck, who argues that climate change is a scam, doesn’t think to highly of Earth Day, saying: “Happy Earth day…I’m going to burn garbage in my backyard with styrofoam.”
Yea, why should Glenn Beck care about the only place that humans can currently live, right?
The bigger question I have is why would a company like Discovery Communications continue to support with ad dollars Glenn Beck’s irresponsible vitriol, sexism, preying on racial anxieties and abject disdain for the environment? After all, Discovery does own: Planet Green, TreeHugger.com, Animal Planet and the Science Channel.
Update: Discovery Advertisements On Glenn Beck

Last week, advertisements for Discovery’s new series, LIFE, began running on Glenn Beck’s program. Consequently, participants in the StopBeck effort sprang to action. Given what I thought Discovery Communications stood for, I imagined that they would be willing to disassociate their brand from Glenn Beck’s vitriol, race-baiting and sexism. This turned out to be an incorrect assumption.
After almost two weeks of kind requests from participants in the StopBeck effort, Discovery still refuses to publicly disassociate their brand from Glenn Beck’s hate. However, I have received confirmation that they have no more LIFE promos scheduled to run on Glenn Beck’s program More >
