Caption Contest
Mar 11th
Only on Glenn Beck’s contemptible television show will you see scenes like this…
Caption This...?
This picture warrants a caption contest. For now, I can’t say whether they’ll be any prizes (I’ll work on it and update accordingly). But, for now, just leave a comment with your caption/captions suggestions.
Note: The above image has not been photoshopped; it’s an actual screenshot from Glenn Beck’s March 11 television show.
TurboTax Becomes 120th Advertiser To Drop Glenn Beck
Mar 10th
On March 9th, TurboTax advertisements began running on Glenn Beck’s show on the Fox News Channel. Participants in the StopBeck effort promptly sprang to action. Less than 24 hours later, TurboTax announced that they would be pulling their advertisements from Glenn Beck’s show.
This brings the total number of advertisers to drop Glenn Beck to 120. On a related note, the broadcast of Glenn Beck’s show in the U.K. has been running without any advertisers for over a month now.
TurboTax’s statement:
Thanks everyone for your feedback, & for reminding us of what we value. We’ve pulled advertising from the Glenn Beck show.

Glenn Beck Says The Census Is An Attempt To “Increase Slavery”
Mar 10th
Nonsensical tirades that prey on racial anxieties, like the one Glenn Beck delivered on March 9 about the census underscore part of the reason why 119 advertisers fled his show and why the broadcast of his show in the UK has been without any advertisers for over a month now.
Glenn Beck urged people not to fill out the race question on the Census because it’s an attempt to increase modern day slavery (emphasis added):
Glenn Beck: Why were they asking the race question, you said when, in 1790? … Right, they want to know, do you count as three-fifths? Do you count at More >
3 More Sponsors Pull Ads From Glenn Beck: Weight Watchers, George Foreman Cooking & Sylvan Learning
Feb 20th
Glenn Beck’s significant sponsor loss is visible. In the U.K., his show has not had any advertisements for the past nine days. In the United States, his show already has few advertisers. Many of these that appear are either unpaid public service announcements or are cheaper ads that would ordinarily run during off-peak hours. Presumably, Fox is placing these ads during Beck’s show in order to fill the gap. Accordingly, new advertisers are occasionally rotated into his show. When this happens, we immediately urge them to stop sponsoring Glenn Beck’s indecency.
Today, we are announcing three additional sponsors that have pulled More >

Celsius: No More Ads On Glenn Beck
Feb 16th
Celsius (calorie burning drink) advertisements began appearing on Glenn Beck’s show on January 4, 2010. Accordingly, participants in the StopBeck effort urged Celsius to stop sponsoring Glenn Beck’s vitriol. Your voices were heard. Celsius confirms that they pulled their advertisements from Glenn Beck’s show several weeks ago and will refrain from advertising on his show going forward.
This brings the total number of sponsors to drop Glenn Beck to 103.
Great work all!

StarKist Becomes 102nd Sponsor To Drop Glenn Beck
Feb 8th
Last week, Glenn Beck lost his 100th (Honda) and 101st (Best Western) sponsors. Additionally, Mr. Beck came under a fire from a coalition of civil rights groups for his suggestion that Pres. Obama’s name, Barack, is un-American.
This morning, StarKist (tuna) became the 102nd sponsor to drop Glenn Beck.
StarKist’s statement (emphasis added):
Our television media purchases are dictated by our marketing plan and are chosen based on time of day, such as early morning (6:00 – 10:00 a.m.) or primetime (8:00 to 11:00 p.m.); channel (ABC, Lifetime, ESPN, etc.) and audience demographics.

Civil Rights Groups Form Coalition, Denounce Glenn Beck’s Questioning Of Obama’s Name
Feb 7th
On February 4, Glenn Beck attacked Obama for ‘choosing’ the name Barack. Beck suggested the name was un-American:
BECK: He chose to use his name, Barack, for a reason. To identify, not with America — you don’t take the name Barack to identify with America. You take the name Barack to identify with what? Your heritage? The heritage, maybe, of your father in Kenya, who is a radical? Really? Searching for something to give him any kind of meaning, just as he was searching later in life for religion.
Responding to this absurd and bigoted attack, a coalition of civil rights groups More >
No, Glenn Beck. Michelle Obama Did Not Call Her Kids “Fatties”
Feb 6th
Glenn Beck really should refrain from discussing the Obama children. It’s really dicey territory, even for him. Take for example, a recent headline from his website:
A similar headline also appeared in his daily email:
Actually Glenn, the First Lady didn’t call her kids “fatties,” nor did she suggest anything of the sort. The only person using the term “fatties” is you.
Glenny, you’ve got plenty of misinforming and preying on racial anxiety to do. So, how about you steer clear of the kids, okay?
